DDoS Protection with up to 2 Tbps

DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks have been on the rise recently. In these attacks, remote-controlled networks of compromised computers (botnets) attempt to render services on a server unusable by generating a large number of requests. We offer a 2 Tbps filter against DDoS attacks for root servers, managed servers and dedicated servers free of charge. This filter is automatically activated as soon as an unusual number of packets or large amounts of traffic are sent from the Internet to your server. We protect you from attacks up to and including Layer 4 with our comprehensive protection, Anexia DDoS Guard.

The schematic diagram shows how our DDoS filter works.

If no attack takes place, the traffic from the Internet is routed directly via routers to the servers. On the routers, the traffic is analyzed to detect possible attacks.

In the event of an attack, traffic from the Internet is redirected via DDoS filter. This blocks packets that are classified as bad. Good packets are redirected to your server after being checked by the DDoS filter. The server thus remains accessible.

As soon as the attack subsides, the traffic is again routed directly to your server via routers. With our comprehensive DDoS protection, we thus ensure the availability of your servers, web applications and infrastructure.
