Senior Linux System Engineer - Webhosting (m/f/d)

as of now | Full-time | Vienna, Graz, Klagenfurt, Karlsruhe, Remote

Your work will enhance the web hosting platforms of netcup and Anexia, supporting hundreds of thousands of domains. You are comfortable engaging with customers? Additionally, you are an expert in Linux with experience in web hosting? Perfect! This position is fully remote, though you're welcome to visit one of our offices as often as you like. #PROFILE

Operation, installation, configuration, and maintenance of web hosting systems based on Linux and Plesk for netcup and Anexia
Implementation of improvements to optimize the customer experience
Ensuring operational stability and quality
Close collaboration with colleagues and customers of netcup, indirectly impacting the services of tens of thousands of users
Support in incidents: error analysis, resolution, and sustainable prevention
Technical handling of incoming customer inquiries (focus on web hosting, primarily written communication)

#WANTED

Completed education or professional experience in a comparable IT-focused role
Expert-level Linux knowledge (preferably Debian/Ubuntu or their derivatives)
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
Experience with the Plesk hosting panel, particularly in conjunction with automation tools (e.g., CLI tools), is a plus
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills
Systematic and analytical thinking paired with a solution-oriented and independent working style
Team-oriented, with a strong customer service and client-focused mindset
Excellent German and good English language skills
